“Why do I consider it my responsibility to give my customers the best advice possible? That is quite simple: I want my children, and their children, to live in a city that will continue to offer a high quality of life.

My job is to find ways of optimising existing energy supply contracts with private or public companies, ranging from industrial and trade to transport companies. We begin by taking a closer look at the terms and conditions of the contract, and finish by devising tailor-made energy-saving concepts or products for the industry concerned. The aim is to reduce the amount of energy used by a company without negatively impacting on its daily operations and results. The key concept here is energy efficiency, because the more efficiently energy can be used rather than wasted, the more benefits there are for everyone.

On the one hand, saving energy means saving money. The less a company has to spend on satiating its thirst for energy, the more likely it is to invest in new projects, for example. At the end of the day, increasing energy efficiency also serves to stimulate the economy.

The other winner is, of course, the environment. This is obvious, given that the amount of energy that has to be produced is lower, the strain on the environment will also be reduced.
