4. Highlights
During the 2006/2007 financial period, the development of Wien Energie’s operations was significantly shaped by the mild weather in that winter. In the 2007/2008 period, however, the average temperatures were slightly lower than average. In a year-on-year comparison, this development of temperatures had a positive impact on the sales volumes of the Wien Energie Group.
The increase in primary energy prices mentioned above led to a marked increase in energy purchase costs and also had a negative impact on the cost of materials.
