On call for Vienna 24/7

Wien Energie is on hand for its customers around the clock – a motto which also acts as the title for its monthly customer magazine 24 Stunden für Wien. This publication provides news and gives helpful tips on how to use energy as efficiently as possible.

The range of information and services on offer are complemented by the website www.wienenergie.at along with a comprehensive range of brochures.

Online energy saving check

Customers are becoming increasingly interested in knowing how much energy they consume. To help with this, Wien Energie has being offering this service for a number of years. The website www.energiesparcheck.at, made available by Wien Energie, offers a simple way of checking how energy consumption is spread throughout the household, as well as how efficiently energy is used for heating and hot water. Potential savings in energy consumption can then be researched online and converted into euros.

Brochures on the various subjects have been developed and contain a wide variety of energy-saving tips. These are available in customer care centres or can be ordered either by telephone, on 0800 555 800, or by email (info(at)wienenergie.at).

Energy advice centre

It is becoming increasingly important to look at ways to save energy and to improve efficiency. Every industry is conducting advertising campaigns centred on saving energy, from car manufacturers and consumer electronics to DIY stores.

Giving advice has become a tradition in Vienna. The inaugural energy advice centre was opened in 1985, and Wien Energie’s energy advice centre (Wien Energie Haus) has been providing top quality, comprehensive energy advice for eleven years.

Since its opening in September 1997, almost 780,000 visitors have taken advantage of the range of services on offer. Having given almost 500,000 individuals energy advice and held more than 2,500 guided tours, 53 exhibitions and around 2,800 events, the Wien Energie Haus can be proud of its achievements. It is now considered one of the most modern advice and communication centres in Europe.

The Wien Energie Haus is there to offer advice to household customers on any questions concerning energy. In addition to giving individual advice, it also offers a range of guided tours, equipment exhibitions, seminars and workshops covering the subjects of heating, hot water, construction, cooling, lighting and household appliances. Informative brochures and a variety of exhibitions on many subjects nicely round off the range of services on offer, bringing the concept of energy, and what it means, closer to the consumer.

The dedicated work carried out by the employees of the Wien Energie Haus has helped turn this centre into something that epitomises the company’s philosophy.
